This Slow Cooker Root Beer Chicken is tender and sweet and makes the perfect shredded chicken sandwich! Made with just a few simple ingredients it’s a must try recipe.
I love simple chicken recipe and when they are made in the slow cooker I love then even more!
Something about the root beer really makes the chicken tender and it falls apart so easily.
It has a great sweetness about it and works great on a sandwich or even on a salad with some ranch dressing! My kids LOVED this recipe and ate it up!
How to make Slow Cooker Root Beer Chicken:
Place all ingredients in your slow cooker. Cook on low 5-6 hours or on high 3-4 hours until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Place chicken in a bowl and shred and add some liquid from your slow cooker in with your shredded chicken if needed.
Ingredient Notes:
- Chicken Breast (boneless and skinless)
- BBQ Sauce
- Root Beer
- Garlic Powder and Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper
Directions:

- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 cup Root Beer
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
