Childhood Favorite Treat
I love puppy chow! It’s been my favorite since I was a kid and now I get to make it with my kids.
This one is a little different from the classic with mint flavor and it tastes amazing.
Instructions
- Tip: Getting everything ready from the start will help you to move quickly later. This way your cereal does not dry in big chunks.
Step two: In a microwave-safe bowl melt semi-sweet chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, unsalted butter, and peppermint extract.
Heat for 30 seconds at a time mixing in between until melted and smooth.
- Tip: Make sure to mix slowly and gently to prevent your cereal from breaking.
Step four: Add in powdered sugar and again gently mix to coat.
Place in your prepared baking sheet to dry and add in Mint Chocolate M&Ms. Serve and enjoy.

This puppy chow recipe looks delicious! I also am making puppy chow for our family holiday parties. The YouTub-er missglamorazzi (Ingrid) posted a great recipe that calls for a hazelnut spread/Nutella, so that’s what I’ll be using. I’m hopeful it will be a hit since puppy chow usually is!
