    Childhood Favorite Treat

I love puppy chow! It's been my favorite since I was a kid and now I get to make it with my kids.

This one is a little different from the classic with mint flavor and it tastes amazing.

    Instructions

Step one: Place cereal in a large mixing bowl. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Tip: Getting everything ready from the start will help you to move quickly later. This way your cereal does not dry in big chunks.

Step two: In a microwave-safe bowl melt semi-sweet chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, unsalted butter, and peppermint extract.

Heat for 30 seconds at a time mixing in between until melted and smooth.

adding ingredients into a mixing bowl

Step three: Pour melted chocolate over cereal and toss to coat. Gently mix to coat.
    • Tip: Make sure to mix slowly and gently to prevent your cereal from breaking.

Step four: Add in powdered sugar and again gently mix to coat.

Place in your prepared baking sheet to dry and add in Mint Chocolate M&Ms. Serve and enjoy.

This puppy chow recipe looks delicious! I also am making puppy chow for our family holiday parties. The YouTub-er missglamorazzi (Ingrid) posted a great recipe that calls for a hazelnut spread/Nutella, so that's what I'll be using. I'm hopeful it will be a hit since puppy chow usually is!

This looks like a delicious puppy chow recipe! I also am making a huge batch of puppy chow for our family holiday parties. I am using the recipe that Ingrid (missglamorazzi) posted on YouTube that uses a hazelnut spread or Nutella. I'm confident it will be a crowd pleaser like all puppy chow usually is! 🙂

These look DELICIOUS!!! Definitely pinning this right now. I was actually just about to start a post about this, but I just don't feel like baking this year, so I feel like a lot of my homemade gifts will be things like this. Thanks for sharing!
