You all know when the Fall is here, I add pumpkin to everything!

This Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate is the perfect Fall drink! Enjoy it topped with whipped cream!

How to make Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate:

In a saucepan you will melt your chocolate chips with the brown sugar, milk, cocoa powder and vanilla.

Stir constantly on a low to medium heat so you do not burn it. Once the chocolate chips are melted and it is smooth you will add the pumpkin puree and the pumpkin pie spice.

Keep stirring the puree until it is mixed in completely and smooth. Pour in a mug and top with some whipped cream. Enjoy!

Tips for making a great hot chocolate:

Creamy hot chocolate: I recommend using milk for a super creamy hot chocolate. Whole milk is my favorite choice.

But for a lighter, but still creamy taste you can use skim or 2% milk.

The right chocolate: Choosing the right chocolate also is key in making a good hot chocolate.

Whether you use milk, dark or semi-sweet get one that you love

. Yes, the flavor of the hot chocolate will change slightly depending on the chocolate you use, but this recipe is about you enjoying the drink.

Toppings: Top with whipped cream or marshmallows. Kids love marshmallows in hot chocolate, and they are also fun for adults.

I love whipped cream on mine, and I like to sprinkle a little cinnamon, or cocoa powder, or even some additional pumpkin spice on the top.
