Winter Drink

Hot chocolate is a must for the winter time. I make it almost every night in December.

It’s usually just the powdered mix and drink it while watching a Christmas movie. It’s the perfect treat each night.

When I am having guests over, serving hot chocolate to the entire family after a snow day, or during a movie night then this Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate is the way to go.

It tastes AMAZING, the best I ever had and so simple to make.

How to make Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate:

I love a nice and easy slow cooker recipe. Well this Hot Chocolate is just that. Put your ingredients in the slow cooker, and there you go! Once done pour into your favorite mug and top with marshmallows.

Ingredient Notes:

  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Milk: I use 2%
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Milk Chocolate Chips: You can also use semi-sweet.

Step two: Cook for 3-4 hours on low or until all your chocolate is melted and your drink is smooth.

  • Tip: You could also use a large pot or dutch over and make this on the stove top.

Step three: Lastly, just stir well and serve with marshmallows or whipped cream.

Serving tip:

This recipe will be very hot serving right from the slow cooker. If serving at a party reduce heat to warm or turn off heat several minuted before serving.

For this recipe I used a 6 quart slow cooker and everything just fit. I wouldn’t suggest to use anything smaller then that.
