ingredients for the Italian Chicken Pasta.

Ingredient Notes:

  • Chicken Breast -Boneless, skinless chicken breasts keep this recipe lean and tender. You can also substitute boneless chicken thighs for a richer, more forgiving option that stays extra moist.
  • Italian Dressing – You can use either store-bought or homemade, depending on what you have on hand.
  • Cream of Chicken Soup – You can use regular or low-sodium versions depending on your preference. If you don’t have cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom or cream of celery will work just as well
  • Cream Cheese – Softened cream cheese melts more smoothly into the sauce.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese – Freshly grated Parmesan melts better than pre-shredded.
  • Salt and Pepper – season to taste.
  • Rotini Pasta – Rotini is perfect for this recipe because its spirals hold onto the creamy sauce. You can substitute with other short pasta shapes like penne, fusilli, or bowtie pasta if needed.

    1. Yes you can make this on the stove top. I used used cooked in shredded chicken (maybe from a rotisserie chicken). Then cook your pasta and add all the ingredients and cook on medium/low until everything is melted and warm.
