    Easy Dinner Idea

BBQ is a family favorite here! My kids could eat it with a spoon and dip just about anything in it. Needless to say, this Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Chicken. It's my go-to recipe for a busy night, tossed in the slow cooker at nap time, and ready for dinner.

    Seasoning

For this recipe I use basic seasonings that you probally already have in your pantry. You can always add more or less to your taste.

    • brown sugar
    • paprika
    • cumin
    • garlic powder: make sure you are using garlic powder and not garlic salt.
    • salt
    • pepper

    Cooking Directions

Step one: Start by placing your chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Step two: Next add the seasoning and rub it onto chicken breast. Pour in chicken broth and then top with bbq sauce.

What BBQ sauce should I use? We love to use Sweet Baby Rays Classic BBQ Sauce but you can use any BBQ that you enjoy.

    Cooking Tips and FAQ's

    • Could I use frozen chicken? Yes, it is safe to place cook frozen chicken in the slow cooker. You just need to cook it long enough that the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
    • Is it better to cook on low or high? This really is up to you. While cooking on high you could run the risk of overcooking if you plan to be away from the slow cooker.
