Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Perfect for Busy Weeknights
These mini corn dogs come together quickly and bake all at once, making dinner much easier than standing over the stove. They’re a fun meal that’s ready in about 30 minutes.
Kid-Approved Favorite
Hot dogs wrapped in fluffy cornbread are always a winner with kids. The muffin size makes them easy to hold, dip, and enjoy without a mess.
Great for Lunchboxes and Snacks
These reheat beautifully, making them perfect for packing in school lunches or grabbing as an after-school snack throughout the week.

Ingredient Notes:
- Cornbread mix – Use your favorite brand. I like Jiffy since the ingredients (just eggs and milk) are easy to have on hand and it keeps the batter nice and moist.
- Eggs – Follow the ratio on your box mix.
- Milk – Whole milk gives the richest texture, but any milk you have on hand works.
- Hot dogs – Cut into 3–4 pieces each. Beef, turkey, or all-beef franks all work well; mini smoked sausages or bites are a fun swap if you want a smaller pop of hot dog in every bite.

Directions:
Step One– Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a mini muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Step Two – Whisk together cornbread mix with eggs and milk until smooth. (If using a different brand read the box and prepare your cornbread according to package directions)

Step Three – Fill your prepared muffin tin 3/4 way full with your cornbread mix. Add diced hot dogs to each muffin.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until muffin dough is cooked and a toothpick could come out clean.
Variations and Substitutions
- Mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages – Swap in for bite-sized appetizers, perfect for parties or little hands.
- Shredded cheddar cheese – Stir into the batter for a cheesy, savory twist.
- Diced jalapeños – Fold in for a spicy kick.
- Turkey or chicken hot dogs – Use for a lighter option.
- Honey – Mix a little into the batter for a touch of sweetness.

FAQs
Can I use homemade cornbread batter?
Yes! Homemade cornbread batter works just as well as boxed mix. Just use enough for your usual muffin recipe and add the hot dog pieces as directed.
Can I make these in a mini muffin pan?
Absolutely. Cut the hot dogs into smaller pieces to fit, and start checking for doneness a few minutes early since mini muffins bake faster.
Are Muffin Tin Corn Dogs freezer friendly?
Yes! Let them cool completely, then freeze in a single layer before transferring to a freezer bag. They’re great for meal prep and reheat well straight from frozen.
What hot dogs work best?
Any type works well, including beef, turkey, chicken, or veggie dogs — pick your favorite or whatever you have on hand.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Yes! Bake them in advance, then reheat in the oven or microwave when you’re ready to serve.
