Air Fryer Dinner Recipe:

I think my air fryer is my new favorite kitchen. I use it all the time. It’s quick and easy to use and the food it always delicious.

These Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas are so simple to make and one of my favorite dinner recipes. If you want to make them on a skillet, check out this recipe for Chicken Fajitas.

How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas:

Slice: Slice your chicken breasts into thin strips. Next, you want to slice your peppers and onions into strips.

Season: Add all the ingredients to a large Ziplock bag or large bowl with the oil and massage or mix until the chicken and veggies are coated. Add the fajita seasoning and mix it all together. You can choose to marinate in the baggie overnight or cook right away.

Cook: Add all the ingredients to the air fryer basket and cook for about 20 minutes. Stir the ingredients and mix them up about halfway through. Serve and enjoy.

Ingredient Notes:

Chicken Breast: I used boneless and skinless chicken breast that I sliced into strips. You can also use chicken tenderloins for this recipe as well.

Bell Peppers: I love using a variety of colors for my bell peppers. We used a little green, yellow, red, and orange.

Onion: I liked using a red onion for this recipe.

Oil: For this recipe you can use any oil you have on hand.

Fajita Seasoning: You can make your own or find it pre-made in stores. You can easily substitute this with taco seasoning.

You can cook right away or leave in the fridge to marinate overnight. I

love prepping this meal to save me some time later.

Step three: Now you can pour the chicken from bag or bowl to air fryer basket and cook at 360° F for 10 minutes then remove the basket and stir all ingredients.

Return basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes until chicken is cooked through and reached an internal temperature of 165° F.

How to serve fajitas:

I love to serve my fajitas right out of the air fryer. Place a hot pad on the counter or table where you are serving, and place the basket right on that and serve.

Pass around the tortillas and load them up! Corn tortillas or flour work fine. I typically use a smaller size tortilla for fajitas.

Alternate ways to serve would be on top of a bed of Mexican Rice or on top of nachos! Regardless of how you serve them, I know you will enjoy them!

What to serve with your fajitas?

Making these fajitas and enjoying them just as it, is perfectly fine! But one big part of this meal is also the toppings that you add.

There are some many options and things you can add to these fajitas to make them even more enjoyable. Cool things down with some sour cream and cheese.

Heat things up with salsa and jalapenos. Avocado slices or guacamole go great as well.

One thing I always have with my fajitas is slices of lime, so I can squeeze fresh lime juice on to my fajitas.

The citrus and sweetness of the lime juice really enhances the flavors and spices in the chicken and peppers.
