Chicken fajitas are a staple in my house. My entire family loves them and I love finding new ways to make them. These Chicken Fajita Bubble Up Bake are so simple to make and has all the flavors we love but with a fun twist.
How to make Chicken Fajita Bubble Up Bake:
Step one: Get started by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Step two: Next dice each of your biscuits into quarters and place them in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning and toss to coat.
Step three: Next heat oil on a skillet and add in your diced bell peppers and onions. Cook until tender then remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step four: Then dice your chicken into bitesize pieces. In the same skillet add diced chicken and cook until it’s cooked through and at a safe temperature.
Step five: To finish up just add the remaining taco seasoning along with water to the skillet with your chicken. Allow simmering until the sauce thickens.
Step six: Mix peppers and onions back into your skillet with other ingredients. Add this to the bottom of your casserole dish.
Step seven: Top chicken and peppers with your seasoned biscuits pieces. Give everything a good mix.
Step eight: Bake for 20-25 minutes until your biscuits are cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the oven, top with cheese, and return to oven until cheese is melted. This should take no longer than 5-10 minutes. Once melted serve and enjoy.
