Chipotle Mayo is a very popular dipping sauce. Restaurants are using it on sandwiches, serving it with tacos, and just as a dipping sauce for French Fries.

How to Make Chipotle Mayo:

Chipotle Mayo is really easy to make. Place all your ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until everything is mixed and smooth. Serve with fries or whatever else you want to use it on!

ingredients for the Chipotle Mayo.

Ingredient Notes:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Sour Cream
  • Chipotle Chilis from Can: These add the heat to the sauce.
  • Adobo Sauce from Can: The adobo sauce adds the smokiness to the sauce.
  • Honey: a little sweetness to calm down the heat.
  • Seasoning: I use garlic powder and paprika

Tips to making a good Chipotle Mayo:

  1. This mayo has a medium heat. If you would like to increase the heat add ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper or use spicy paprika. To decrease the heat use less of the adobo sauce from the can and/or less chipotle peppers.
  2. If you do not have honey on hand you can substitute with Karo syrup.
  3. Use low-fat mayo and low-fat sour cream to lower the calorie count on this sauce.

How to store Chipotle Mayo:

Store any leftover sauce in an airtight sealed container in the refrigerator. Do not freeze the sauce, as it will separate when thawed. This sauce should last about 2 weeks.
