Cooking Instructions:

First: Place chicken in the slow cooker. For this recipe, I used a 6-quart slow cooker and everything fit perfectly.

Second: In a mixing bowl add remaining ingredients and whisk. Once all of that is well combined you can pour it over the chicken.

Third: Cook until chicken is cooked through and tender. You should be able to use a fork to easily shred your chicken.

Forth: Serve it and enjoy. I like mine served over rice and topped with diced green onions.

Other serving options:

We love serving ours over rice and topped with green onions. Here are a few other ideas for serving your Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken.

    1. Hi Jenny, I used thawed chicken but frozen can be used. You will have a little more water and it will take longer to cook but it can be done!

  1. I made this for Sunday lunch yesterday and it was a hit! I did add a 1/2 cup of broth and I was glad, just the right amount of sauce for our liking. Lots of flavor, and easy clean up! This pin is going in the “keeper” folder. : )

  2. This sounds yummy. For 2 pounds of chicken, that doesn’t seem like very much liquid. Is this recipe complete? I know the chicken juices will add some liquid as it cooks, but I’d hate to leave my house for 5 hours to come back to a burnt dinner. Just want to double check (not trolling!). Thanks

    1. Hi Meredith, Thanks for asking! With the chicken and the liquid from the soy sauce and honey was enough for us. But I get what you are saying. You can add 1/2 – 1 cup of chicken broth to it if you are worried and I am sure it will taste just fine like that and extra juice is never a bad thing!
I hope you enjoy the recipe and let me know how it turns out for you!!
