Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef is the perfect weeknight dinner when you want bold takeout-style flavor without the hassle. The beef cooks low and slow until tender, soaking up a rich, sweet, and savory sauce that’s absolutely irresistible.
Serve it over rice or noodles for a comforting, family-friendly meal that tastes like it came from your favorite restaurant.
How to make Mongolian Beef:
This is another really tasty, simple slow cooker meal. Start by slicing your beef into strips. Dredge the beef strips in cornstarch then place the beef in the slow cooker.
Pour the sauce over the beef, then cook in the slow cooker on low for 5-6 hours. Serve over rice and enjoy.

Ingredient Notes:
- Beef Flank Steak – Slice against the grain for the most tender beef.
- Cornstarch – Coating the beef helps thicken the sauce as it cooks.
- Oil
- Ground Ginger
- Garlic Powder
- Soy Sauce – Use low-sodium soy sauce to control saltiness.
- Water
- Brown Sugar – Light or dark brown sugar both work – dark adds deeper flavor.
- Green Onions – Add at the end for freshness and color.

Directions:
Step One – Cut steak into strips and place them in a mixing bowl.

Step Two – Add cornstarch to steak and toss to coat. Place steak into the slow cooker.

Step Three – Mix oil, ground ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Pour this over steak inside slow cooker.

Step Four – Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5 hours. Until steak is cooked through.
Step Five – Garnish with green onions. Optional: serve over rice.
