One of my all-time favorite slow cooker recipes. This Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef is tender and flavorful. We served ours over rice and garnished with green onions.

I love a hardy slow cooker recipe. This Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef is loved by my entire family and so simple to make. 

How to make Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef:

Step one: Start by cutting your steak into strips and place it in a mixing bowl.

Step two: Next add the cornstarch to steak and toss to coat.

Step three: Place steak into the slow cooker.

  • Tip: If you have any extra cornstarch leave that in the bowl and discard. You just wanted in coated on your steak.

Mongolian Beef Sauce:

Step four: Now for the sauce. Mix oil, ground ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Pour this over steak inside slow cooker.

Cooking Mongolian Beef:

Step five: Time to cook. Cook this on high for 3 hours or on low for 5 hours. Cook it until your steak is cooked through and tender.

Step six: Garnish with green onions and serve over rice or pasta.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds beef flank steak
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup green onions, (diced)

Instructions 

  • Cut steak into strips and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Add cornstarch to steak and toss to coat. Place steak into the slow cooker.
  • Mix oil, ground ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar. Pour this over steak inside slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5 hours. Until steak is cooked through.
  • Garnish with green onions. Optional: serve over rice.
