Meatballs are a very easy to make appetizer or even main dish.

These BBQ Meatballs are made with only 3 ingredients and are cooked in the slow cooker for an easy meal.

The kids loved them, and I served them with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a salad to make a full meal.

How to make BBQ Meatballs:

Put your frozen meatballs in the slow cooker.

Mix your brown sugar together with the BBQ sauce. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the meatballs and then give them a good mix to cover them all.

Turn on the slow cooker and cook on low for about 5 hours.

Ingredient Notes:

  • Frozen Meatballs: I used homestyle
  • BBQ Sauce – Use your favorite brand for this.
  • Brown Sugar
ingredients for the BBQ Meatballs

Directions:

Step One – Place frozen meatballs into your slow cooker.

  • Pro Tip: Frozen meatballs work best for this recipe. If you want to use homemade meatballs, I suggest freezing them, so they don’t all stick together. To freeze meatballs, I place them on a baking sheet and into the freezer. Uncooked frozen meatballs will need more time to cook in the slow cooker.

Step Three – Cook on low for 5 hours or on high for 3 hours or until meatballs are warm throughout. Serve warm and enjoy.

How to serve BBQ Meatballs:

You can serve these two ways. They are a great served as a party appetizer. Place them all on a tray with toothpicks nearby to grab them.

Serve them as a main course as well! I will serve the meatballs as the main entree with mashed potatoes or rice as a side and a vegetable.

Freezing this recipe:

Since this recipe calls for frozen meatballs if you want to make it for the freezer it’s pretty simple.

Add all ingredients to your freezer bag.

Don’t precook anything just add everything in together.

Then when you’re ready to make it dump it into the slow cooker and cook according to directions.
