Nothing beats an ice cold drink on a hot summer day. This Pink Lemonade Recipe is perfect for cooling down in the summer.

During the summer between playing outside, going to the pool, and grilling out, we are outside a lot. Having a refreshing, cold drink available is a great way to help cool off the summer heat. This Pink Lemonade is perfect for those hot summer days.
How to make Pink Lemonade:
This recipe is made similar to my Homemade Lemonade recipe, but you need to make it pink! Dissolve sugar in boiling water to make a simple syrup. Juice your lemons as the simple syrup cools. Once the simple syrup is cooled mix it together with the lemon juice. Add additional water and the Cran-Raspberry Juice and mix well. Add ice and serve.
Ingredient Notes:
- Sugar
- Water – Divided for making the simple syrup and adding to the lemonade.
- Lemon Juice – Use fresh squeezed lemon juice.
- Cran-Raspberry Juice – Or regular cranberry juice would work.
Directions:
Step One – Add sugar, and 2 cups of water to a saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Recipe Tip
Make sure to not burn the simple syrup you are making. Watch the heat and stir constantly.
Step Two – Remove from heat and sit syrup to the side to cool to room temperature before continuing.
Step Three – Once cool, pour the syrup into a large pitcher.
Step Four – Add lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of water to the pitcher.
Recipe Tip
You will need about 10 lemons for this recipe.
Step Five – Pour in the Cran-Raspberry Juice and mix well.
Recipe Tip
If you don’t want to use cran-raspberry juice you can use cranberry juice or even watermelon juice.
What exactly is pink lemonade?
Pink lemonade is just that, lemonade that has been dyed pink.
Sometimes when making homemade pink lemonade you can use cranberry juice for coloring.
How many lemons do I need for Homemade Pink Lemonade:
On average 6-8 lemons can give you 1 cup of lemon juice. For this recipe I used just over a cup of lemon juice. I would suggest buying 10 lemons to be on the safe side. Any leftover you can use to garnish your drink.
Recipe Tip
I like to garnish mine with lemon slices
Tips for Pink Lemonade:
- You will need about 10 lemons for this recipe.
- You can use any strong red juice to make the lemonade pink. Cranberry juice works great!
