Homemade mashed potatoes are pretty much the best thing in the world. Potatoes are easily my favorite food and if you have not tried my recipe for the best mashed potatoes you need to do that asap.

Those potatoes I usually save for the holidays because when it comes to dinner time, I don’t have time to sit and watch a stove for hours.

I feel like I spend so much time making our main dish that when it comes to sides, I just don’t want to put in all the effort!

I turn to my slow cooker once again to save the day and made these slow cooker mashed potatoes! These Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes make the perfect side dish.

How to make Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes:

These slow cooker mashed potatoes are so good! They come out some creamy and smooth, and the chicken broth and sour cream really give it an amazing flavor. Put your ingredients into a slow cooker and then let it do all the work for you! Enjoy these mashed potatoes with having to do very little work to make them.

Ingredients:

  • Yellow Potatoes
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder
  • Chicken Broth
  • Sour Cream
  • Butter

Directions:

You can taste and more seasoning as needed. Once they are to your liking serve and enjoy.

Why are these mashed potatoes so good?

  1. No boiling needed – Yes, making mashed potatoes the old-fashioned way is great, but having to wait for the potatoes to boil is time consuming. In a slow cooker you have no need to pre-boil your potatoes.
  2. Make ahead of time – With making these in the slow cooker, you can get everything in the slow cooker, and then get the rest of your meal ready. Don’t worry about these until you need to mash them!
  3. Great for Holidays – These are great for the holidays. They free up the stove top and oven and you can set the slow cooker aside while you prepare the rest of your feast.
