This Strawberry Fluff is a great side dish or dessert. Serve it either way or as a snack. Kind of like an Ambrosia, this is a fruit salad mixed with cool whip to hold it all together.

The main difference between a Fluff and an Ambrosia is that an Ambrosia uses coconut flakes, and a Fluff does not.

How to make Strawberry Fluff:

Making a Fluff is very easy. Start by making your Jell-O. Cut your strawberries into small bite size pieces.

Mix the vanilla pudding into the Jell-O and then mix your whipped topping with the Jell-O.

Add the other ingredients. Mix it all together and then chill in the refrigerator for a couple hours. Serve cold and enjoy!

  • Water – kept cold in the fridge.
  • Whipped Topping
  • Fresh Strawberries – sliced
  • Pecans – chopped

Step Two – Bring 1 cup of water to a boil to make your Jell-O.

making the Jell-O in a saucepan.

Step Three – In a mixing bowl add Strawberry Jell-O powder then pour boiling water over and whisk until Jell-O is dissolved.

Then whisk in cold water to the Jell-O. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Step Four – Remove the Jell-O from fridge. Your Jell-O should be slightly firm but not set yet.

How long can you keep Fluff?

Typically, this type of “salad” needs to be eaten pretty quickly. Ideally, you want to only keep this refrigerated for about 3 days. After 3 days, I would recommend discarding it.

Recipe Tip

One way to help extend this salad is to make sure your strawberries are patted dry with paper towels to remove any excess liquid. You do not want to bring any excess liquid to this party!
