I love buffalo sauce! It’s a favorite of my dad’s also and even as a kid I could eat my weight in baked buffalo chicken wings.

I’ve made several different recipes made with buffalo sauce and simple ones like this baked buffalo chicken or my slow cooker shredded buffalo chicken sandwich is one my top list of favorites.

How to make Baked Buffalo Chicken:

Baked Buffalo Chicken is very easy to make. Rub your seasoning on your chicken, make your Buffalo sauce, then pour the sauce over the chicken and bake.

Easy to make, and it’ll bring a nice spice to your dinner!

Ingredient Notes:

  • Chicken Breasts: I used boneless and skinless
  • Ranch Seasoning packet
  • Butter: I used unsalted butter
  • Hot Sauce: You can always add more or less to taste
ingredients for the Buffalo Chicken.

How to make Buffalo Sauce:

Step three: To make your sauce just melt butter and hot sauce in a saucepan on the stovetop. Mix until well combined.

  • Tip: Making your own sauce is simple and tastes great. If you have a favorite sauce already you can use that instead of making your own.

Baking Buffalo Chicken:

Step four: Once your sauce is ready to brush about 3/4 of your buffalo sauce onto your chicken. Saving the remaining for after baking.

Step five: Bake for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked. Time will vary depending on the size of your chicken breast.

Step six: Remove chicken from the oven and serve with the remaining buffalo sauce.

Baking the perfect chicken:

Chicken is sometimes tough to bake perfectly. The oven has a tendency to dry out chicken, and then it is not as enjoyable.

Here are some preferred cook temperatures and times that should help you make great chicken.

Cooking Tips: You always want to make sure the internal temperature of your chicken is at least 160 degrees.

That is the safe internal temperature needed to be able to eat it.

At 350 degrees you would want to cook around 25-30 minutes.

375 degrees would be 20-25 minutes and 400 degrees would be 20-15 minutes as well.

Can I use store bought Buffalo Sauce?

Yes, you can use store bought sauce. Use whichever is your favorite brand. I am loving this new Keto-friendly Buffalo Sauce I found called Primal Kitchen.

I love making my own sauce, and I have a full in-depth recipe here for Homemade Buffalo Sauce.

What should you serve with Baked Buffalo Chicken?

Normally with Buffalo Chicken Wings I’d serve them with some sliced celery and carrot sticks.

I did slice them up for this dinner as a side, mostly because the kids wanted it.

I like to serve this dinner with potatoes or rice. A salad with ranch dressing is a great side option as well.
