Marking this for the second time! Previously for a party and now just to enjoy with my family on New Year's Eve! It's a keeper!
Kim
Instead of using green onions, could you use onion powder?
Jennie
Ranch seasoning typically has onion powder in it, so I probably wouldn't add more. But you can definitely leave off the green onions, and it will still be good!
Samantha
Made this for thanksgiving. Covered outside in more shredded cheese, formed in pumpkin shape with a stem from a bell pepper. It was such a hit!!

Can I use real bacon bits

It is not that simple
Jennie
Have you tried making it? It really is easy to make. I love that all I have to do is mix my ingredients and roll into a ball. Wear gloves when mixing with your hands if you want!
Marte
Can you make this two days in advance
Jennie
Yes! Just keep it in the fridge covered.

I like to roll mine in chopped pecans to keep outside from being sticky.
Marlene Hansen
I love this recipe. I always roll the completed ball in shredded cheese to keep the outside from being sticky, and it looks fantastic. I usually make it a day ahead so the flavors can develop.
Jennie
So glad you like it!!
Sara
Can I make this one day before needing it?
Jennie
Yes! We always make it before and I put plastic wrap on it and keep it in the fridge.
