So glad you like it!
What size casserole dish?
I used a 9×13 casserole dish for this!
This sounds yummy. What size casserole dish do you use?
I typically use a 9×13 casserole dish
Can you make this, freeze it and then thaw it and bake it?
You sure can! Just make sure once you make it, you completely cool it before moving it to the freezer container.
I actually meant, can I make it and then freeze it without baking it and without putting the Ritz Cracker topping on? And then later, thaw it, put the crushed Ritz Crackers and melted butter on and bake it? So can I freeze it before baking it?
Yes, that would be perfectly ok to do!
Thanks!!
You say preheat oven…what temperature?
Hi Mary. The temperature is in the recipe card if you scroll down. Sorry for the confusion. You will need it at 350.
Do I cover it when I bake it??
I do not cover it.
No. I’m looking for a simple recipe my mom made with a whole chicken boiled and deboned shredded with Rita crackers and hard boiled eggs.
Sorry! Not sure what that recipe is you are mentioning.
Can I use ground chic raw?
You can use ground chicken but will need to cook and crumble it first.
Could you use cream of mushroom soup instead?
Yup, I’ve used it before when it was all I had.
Do you think this would freeze well?
Yes, I have frozen it before and given it to families as meals. Just make sure it is cooled completely before putting into the freezer safe container.
Love this, I added water chestnuts, sliced. Delicious!
That sounds great!
