I love slow cooker recipes. Just tossing in the ingredients and letting it cook while I get my day done is my favorite part.

Directions

Step one: Place chicken in the slow cooker.

Step two: In a seperate bowl mix all the reamaining ingredients.

Cooking Directions

Step three: Last just pour that sauce over your chicken in the slow cooker and cook for 5-6 hours on low or 4 hours on high.

Step four: When your chicken is fully cooked you can now shred the chicken and serve.

FAQ and Tips

Don’t Overcook: Cooking your chicken to long in the slow cooker can cause it to become dry. While chicken can be cooked on high if you are worried about overcooking I suggest cooking the chicken on low.

Do I have to shred the chicken? We serve this chicken over rice or pasta and like to shred the chicken. You can also serve the chicken witout shredded it’s on optional step.

What kind of mustard should I use? I use dijon mustard for this recipe but you can also use yellow mustard.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound chicken breast, (boneless and skinless)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup apple juice

Instructions 

  • Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  • In a seperate bowl mix all the reamaining ingredients.
  • Pour sauce over your chicken in the slow cooker and cook for 5-6 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
