  1. I have an old family recipe similar to this. Mine has added diced onion, celery and pimento. Gives a nice flare to it. It’s called Chicken crunch casserole. I usually leave out the celery, as my kids don’t like it too much, but it yummy any of these ways.. You could use cream of celery to get the flavor there. But I love the added onion and pimento, more depth to the flavors.

    1. I have not tried it but I know some people will use plain greek yogurt in the place of sour cream. It would change the taste of this recipe but should have the same texture.

  2. I have a recipe very close to this one. Mine calls for 2 sleeves of Ritz and 8 Tbsp butter. Crush 1 sleeve Ritz and put in bottom of pan and pour 4 Tbsp melted butter over them. Continue on the way you do. I serve this for any function I can, holidays, covered dish meals, or just because. There’s never any left😀

  3. Do you think if I was adding broccoli, any of the other ingredient amounts would need to change?

    Thanks!

  4. This is so good!! The serving size is for 5 people but me and my fiancé ate the entire thing!! We couldn’t stop! This recipe is a keeper for sure. Thank you for sharing it!

  5. My husband asks for this all the time! So easy and so good. Even my 2 year old eats it and thats saying something. Haha
