Easy Dinner Recipes are the best:
I love a simple dinner recipe. With a busy life and three kids, I need easy dinners in my life. This one is one of my favorites.
I just put the pork in a casserole dish with a simple homemade sauce. Bake it and then it’s time to serve dinner.
How to make Teriyaki Pork Chops:
These pork chops are very easy to make. Place them in your baking dish and make your homemade Teriyaki Sauce.
You can use store bought teriyaki sauce if you wish, but there is something better about making it homemade. Cover the pork chops in the sauce, and then bake. Serve and enjoy!
Ingredient Notes:
- Pork Chops: I used boneless pork chops.
- Minced Garlic
- Honey: Use locally grown honey if you can! It is my favorite.
- Soy Sauce: Use Light and Low Sodium Soy Sauce if you want.
- Rice Vinegar: Apple Cider Vinegar can be a substitute if you do not have rice vinegar.
- Water
- Seasoning: I used pepper, onion powder, ground ginger.
- Cornstarch: helps thicken the teriyaki sauce up.
- Optional: Sesame Seeds and Green Onion for garnish
Directions:
Step one: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Step two: Place pork chops in your prepared dish. In a small mixing bowl whisk together your garlic, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, water, pepper, onion powder, and ground ginger.
Pour this over your pork and bake covered for 30-40 minutes
- Tip: I bake this covered so there will be no splatter and to help the moister stay in the casserole dish.
How to Make Homemade Teriyaki Sauce:
Step three: Once the pork is fully cooked remove it from the baking dish and allow to rest for several minutes. Meanwhile, place the teriyaki sauce in the baking dish into a pan.
Whisk in cornstarch and bring to a boil. Allow boiling while whisking until the sauce has thickened.
- Tip: Don’t skip boiling your sauce. This sauce is perfect to go over your pork and even in rice.
Step four: Pour your teriyaki sauce over pork and serve.
I served mine with sesame seeds and green onion as garnish
