This Chicken Alfredo Bake is an awesome dinner choice the whole family will love. Penne pasta, cooked chicken, alfredo sauce and mozzarella cheese make this a great casserole.

Need a great dinner that the whole family will love? This Chicken Alfredo Bake will be your new favorite! It is really easy to make and tastes amazing! It tastes just like Chicken Alfredo but baked like a casserole!
How to make this Chicken Alfredo Bake:
Start by preparing the penne according to the box directions. Make sure to cook it al dente as it will cook more in the oven. If you are going to make homemade alfredo sauce, do that while the pasta cooks. Shred your chicken. Once the pasta and the sauce are ready mix them together with the chicken. Spread the chicken alfredo into a casserole dish and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the over until everything comes together and the cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredient Notes:
- Pasta – I used Penne, but you can use any kind of pasta for this recipe.
- Alfredo Sauce – I prefer to make my own Homemade Alfredo Sauce, or you can use sauce bought at the store.
- Mozzarella Cheese – mixed in with the pasta and sprinkled on top.
- Chicken – I used a rotisserie chicken for this recipe, but you can cook your own like my All-Purpose Slow Cooker Chicken.

Directions:
Step One – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×3 casserole pan.
Step Two – Cook Pasta to al dente according to package directions.

Step Three – Once pasta is done return it to the pot and add the alfredo sauce and half of the mozzarella. Stir to combine.

Step Four – Next add the chicken and gently stir to coat the chicken in sauce.

Step Five – Add the chicken and pasta mixture to the pan and spread evenly.

Step Six – Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the pasta then bake for 20-25 min.

Step Seven – Once done you can broil for 2-3 min to brown the top a little.

What should you serve with this Chicken Alfredo Bake:
Chicken Alfredo is often served mixed with Broccoli, so try some of these Broccoli side dish options.

Parmesan Roasted Broccoli – These Parmesan Roasted Broccoli are a favorite with my family. Even the kids will eat this veggie! Baked until crispy and topped with cheese, it’s the best way to serve broccoli.

How to store leftovers:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It should last about 7-10 days in the refrigerator. To reheat the dish, put back in the oven until heated throughout, or microwave an individual plate.
Can this dish be frozen?
Make the casserole according to the directions above, but do not bake in the oven. Place it in an air-tight casserole dish that has a lid. When you plan to serve it, place it in the refrigerator 24 hours in advance to allow it to thaw. Bake in the over according to directions above once thawed.
