    1. I have not tried cooking them overnight it could be too long. You could make them the day before them reheat on the stove top or microwave.

  1. These are fantastic. We got a ton of free apples when we bought our Christmas tree so had to use them quick. Definitely making another batch soon! Thank you

  2. These are awesome 👍 I love the ones from Cracker Barrel and can’t get any now what with the pandemic.
    My husband loved these!!!!!!!!!!
My new favorite go to recipe.
    P.S.
They freeze well and can be put in pastry dough (or canned biscuits) for yummy hand pies ☺️👌👍

  3. Is it possible to make these without cornstarch? I don’t buy cornstarch and would hate to buy it just for this.

    1. I haven’t tried it, but you could make a roux (mixture of heated butter and flour) to thicken it.

  4. I made this tonight and it was awesome! I had to use up 5 gala apples before they went bad and this recipe was great because I already had everything on hand. My husband loved it!

  5. This turned out delicious! I made it as stated (though maybe with less stirring. LOL) Definitely something to make again. Though, I’m wondering if anyone had tried putting fresh cranberries in it. Hmm…maybe cranberries and pecans…Anyway, THANK YOU for a great recipe!

  6. Sounds delicious, and very siimple. I definitely plan to try it. I’m even thinking of pouring them into some mini graham cracker crusts, or pie crusts. How does this sound to you?
