I love using different items to paint with. In the fall we learned about different textures like the bumpy gourds that we used for painting. Max enjoyed that craft so much we decided to change it up a little and use fluffy soft pom-poms to paint or Christmas tree with. I decided to use cordinating colored paints and pom-poms so we can practice matching colors while we painted.

This was the first year that Max was in school and needed gifts for teachers. Since Max goes to special needs school he does't just have one teacher he has six. We have his teacher, the helpers, and all his therapist that see him during the day. I decided to make these for all his teachers this year for Christmas. I filled the bag and let him pass them out during the day. These snowmen pops are so easy to make and everyone who got one ooo'd and aww'd when they saw them.

There is something about a bowl full of warm soup on a cold winter day.
I made this potato soup for my family last week and everyone really enjoyed it. Last time I made a potato soup I used the crock pot, but sadly my crock pot is broken and I have not replaced it yet. I made this potato soup on the stove top and it really didn't take to much time. Chad likes his soup thicker so I used less broth then I usually would and it came out great.

Printable coloring pages are a lifesaver for me anytime of the year. I print them out and leave them in the kitchen. When I am making dinner or doing dishes I let them color away. I rounded up some great free printable coloring pages for Christmas to share with you. I included a lot of fun pictures along with some great religious themed ones. Enjoy and have fun coloring with your little ones.

Last weekend I had a few ladies over for a purse party and served these hot chocolate cookie cups along side our hot chocolate bar. I thought that for a cold winter night hot chocolate and cookies would be a perfect combination for an evening get together. I have made cookies in a muffin tin several times and filled it with different yummy things. When looking through the baking isle at the grocery store I saw chocolate pudding I thought it would be a perfect match!

Our first Christmas craft of the year is complete! Max made a fuzzy cute Santa beard and even tried to say "ho, ho, ho". Even though we have gotten pictures with Santa every year I don't think Max really understands who Santa is. Never the less he had fun playing pretend and being Santa for the day.
