Fall food is all about warmth, comfort, and cozy flavors. From hearty soups to comforting casseroles, these recipes will fill your home with those classic fall smells. The best part about all these recipes is you can let the slow cooker do all the work for you.

Slow Cooker Tips:

  1. If you have time brown your meat. While all these recipes will taste great either way and some are listed as dump and go (no-browning) if you have time browning your meat first does add more flavor to your dish.
  2. Add ingredients in the right order. Some recipes this will not matter (like soups or stews) but others it’s important to place more dense ingredients at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  3. No peeking! I know getting a peek at your dinner can be temping but it’s important to leave the lid on during cooking time until it’s closer to time of being done. Checking to make sure it’s cooked is great just don’t do it to early and allow to much heat to escape during important cooking time.

My Favorite Slow Cooker:

In all my recipes I am using a standard 6-quart slow cooker. While I do own smaller slow cookers I find they work best for dips or appetizers but 99% of the time I am using my 6-quart crockpot.
